Next Monday, April 7, the Ciudad de la Luz Study Center will host Sandra Hermida's master class. The production director of ‘The Orphanage’, her film was awarded a Goya at the most recent celebration of Spanish film.
The presence of Sandra Hermida, whose filmography includes ‘The Night of the Sunflowers’ and ‘La torre de Suso’, is a major plus for the Study Center's programme of master classes, which to date has included contributions by Vittorio Storaro, the film director Pablo Berger, the soundtrack composer Nacho Mastretta, the actor, producer and director Carles Sans and Pedro Costa, producer of, among others, ‘13 Roses’, a film directed by Emilio Martínez Lázaro.
In the future, these professionals will be joined by the other influential figures from within the national and international cinematographic industry in a bid to strengthen the links between professional training and the audiovisual sector.
I Conference on Art Direction
Included among the activities programmed by the Study Center over the next few months is the presence of other professionals such as Félix Murcia, who won the National Award for Cinematography in 1999 and who is set to participate in the first conferences on Art Direction delivered in the Study Center of the Alicante-based cinematographic complex on the 13th and 14th May.
