Carlos's wife is dead. All he's got is his five year old son, Gabriel. Carlos, a man who has been a drug dealer and has lost everything gambling, decides to change his life and devote himself to the only child he has, at which he has never paid attention. Gabriel does not speak, he lives trapped in his own world. Carlos finds it very difficult to win the trust of his son. However, an event occurs that will change their lives: Gabriel, at his age, is a piano genius. Carlos doesn't do it well, and is detained by the police, losing again his son. In prison, he waits nearly for sixteen years to retrieve Gabriel. But when he tries again, Gabriel has grown, and has created his own world, rejecting everything that remembers the past: his father and the piano.
