It also maintains relations with the local, regional and autonomous administrative bodies, as well as with the professional and business federations and associations of the audiovisual sector of the Valencian Community. It was created in 2005 in response to the increasing need for a source of information for productions filmed in Spain.

- To serve as a broad and comprehensive source of information.
- To maintain relations with local, regional, autonomous and State administrative bodies in relation to filming.

The Ciudad de la Luz-Comunitat Valenciana Film Commission provides producers, television workers and publicists with information about film locations for various audiovisual productions, making it a valuable resource in the preparation of any project.
After receiving the relevant request, we will supply you with a large and practical information pack covering issues relating to logistics, geography and art.
What is our goal?
The audiovisual sector of the Valencian Community is boosted by this Film Commission, allowing us to go from being passive receivers of film projects to developing a policy of actively attracting international productions to the local area, at the same time as generating wealth and jobs.
Furthermore, various incentive schemes will facilitate and encourage the practice of co-productions, thus contributing to the sustained profitability of a highly qualified and competitive network of professionals and businesses.
Being the location of a film or television series means much more than bringing work to the audiovisual sector. It constitutes a direct economic impact on the hotel and restaurant industry and, at the same time, creates a large number of jobs in related, auxiliary businesses: carpenters, decorators, lighting specialists, actors, make-up artists, catering, rural tourism, food and regional products...
In conclusion, each audiovisual project generates a huge amount of economic activity within the chose area. Being the location for a film also showcases Spanish culture, for its traditions, landscapes and monuments are reflected in the films produced here.
