30/01/2008
The Centre's students collaborate on the professional conferences held by KODAK at the Ciudad de la Luz

This week, the Ciudad de la Luz cinematographic complex welcomes more than 100 Production and Photography Directors from around the peninsula. They will all experience the new film, Vision3, created by KODAK with the help of students from the Study Centre. In this way, the complex, located in Alicante, positions itself at the cutting edge of new advances within the film industry.

This is an event which brings key industry figures to the city of Alicante and allows those who have never worked at the Ciudad de la Luz before, to experience first-hand the benefits offered by the cinematographic complex. Also, the professionals will join the centre's students, sharing their experience and knowledge and, through this new negative picture, bringing the students into contact with the latest advances. With events such as these, one of the centre's philosophies is realised: that of facilitating the interaction of the professional world with the world of education.

The work carried out between KODAK and the Ciudad de la Luz makes the Alicante complex one of the most comprehensive in the world, meeting the needs of not only pre-production and production. but with the addition of the KODAK laboratory, also post-production. This laboratory completes the Ciudad de la Luz's range of services and means that projects filmed in Alicante and neighbouring communities such as Andalusia and Catalonia come out of the laboratory located in the Ciudad de la Luz.

Conference days such as these, compliment the other activities organised by the Study Centre and enable its students to network with professionals and come into contact with the latest advances from the cinematographic sector.

It is worth mentioning that the work being carried out between Kodak and the Ciudad de la Luz is making the Alicante complex one of the most comprehensive in the world, covering the needs of not only pre-production and production but, with the addition of the Kodak laboratory, also post-production. This laboratory completes the Ciudad de la Luz's range of services and means that projects filmed in Alicante and neighbouring communities such as Andalusia and Catalonia come out of this laboratory.

Conference days such as these, compliment the numerous activities, through which the Study Centre provides its students the opportunity to network with professionals and come into contact with the new advances made within the cinematographic sector; in this case, the new Kodak film.
